Abstract

This study discusses the concept of Islamization of educational science developed by Louay Safi, a contemporary Muslim thinker. Islamization of educational science aims to integrate Islamic values ​​in education by considering aspects of epistemology, methodology, and practice in the education system. Louay Safi emphasized the need to develop knowledge that is not only rational, but also spiritual, rooted in Islamic teachings. Through this approach, education does not only function as a means to acquire worldly knowledge, but also as a way to form character and morality that are in line with Islamic principles. This study also analyzes the challenges faced in the process of Islamization of educational science, such as resistance to change and difficulties in balancing modern scientific traditions with Islamic values. By using a qualitative approach, this study aims to provide deeper insight into the application of Islamization in education, as well as its contribution to forming holistic education based on Islamic values.
