Abstrak
This article is an in-depth exploration of the close relationship between two disciplines in education. Philosophy of education as a theoretical framework highlights the principles, goals and values underpinning education, while history education views the past as a rich source of learning, depicting journeys and events that shape lives. This paper aims to explore and outline how philosophy of education is not just a theory, but an integral guide in shaping history education that brings out critical thinking skills. This research method uses qualitative research with a literature study approach. The results of this study show that the integration of the concepts of philosophy of education and history education can form a learning environment that enriches students' analysis, synthesis, and evaluation skills, and can improve the quality of education and prepare students to think critically in facing future challenges
